One day hike Huchuy qosqo , it is perfect for you if you just want to walk one day on the mountain This hike offers a great views of the sacred Valley and the amazing mountain range of Urubamba, If you are late to book the classic 2 or 3 days trek, this is a great alternative option as you will be hike one full day without any crowds and still on a part of the Inca trail and visiting the Inca ruins of Huchuy qosqo which means Little Cusco.

Itinerary

Day 1

Cusco- Huchuy qosqo- Aguas Calientes.

We will pick you up from your hotel and travel by car to the small Village of Cuper, located at (3750m/12,300ft), the beginning of your trek. From here, we will walk for 5 hours through some very beautiful landscapes and a view of the urubamba mountain range, getting,to the Inca architectural complex of Huchuy Qosqo. We will spend around 2 hours exploring Huchuy Qosqo before we continue our hike, walking 2 hours downhill to Lamay in the Sacred Valley. Once we reach Lamay, a car will transport us to the town of Ollantaytambo. where we will catch a 7:00 p.m. train to Aguas Calientes. Once we arrive, you will have dinner at a restaurant.

Day 2

Aguas Caliente- Machu Picchu- Cusco.

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up from your hostel/hotel and lead you to the bus station where you will board a bus to Machu Picchu. At Machu Picchu, you will have more than 2 hours walking tour of this mysterious city, after it you will have free time to explore the site . In this time you may also choose to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain if you have reserved a spot or walk to the sun gate where you can see machu picchu better!

Once you have completed your tour of Machu Picchu, you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes to take the train for your return trip to Cusco.

Train for the end of your Trek

The most common departure time that we suggest for our tourists is 6:35 p.m. This departure time will allow you to spend more time at Machu Picchu and do more activities like climb Huayna Picchu mountain (which can be booked additionally) and enjoy the hot springs or some cervezas after a long trek.
The 6:35 p.m train will arrive in Ollantaytambo train station at 8:20 p.m and you will be picked up by your driver outside of the train station. The driver will be holding a sign with your name on it so that there is no confusion. If you do not see the driver initially, just wait for them outside the train station. Once the driver has picked you up, then you will travel for 1 1/2 hours in a van before you arrive back at your hotel/hostel. Arrival time in Cusco is 10:00pm approximately.
The earliest departure time available in the afternoon is 2:55 p.m, and this is for Travelers who are planning to leave Cusco city early in the morning the next day to go ahead with their travel plans.
Important: We guarantee this early Expedition departures as per the itinerary, if you book your tours in 2 months in advance, otherwise we may be forced to offer Expedition train that departs at 6:35 p.m only.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

If you are thinking of climbing Huayna picchu mountain you must book in advance. Only 400 people can hike Huaynapicchu per day. You will climb it on your own after the tour in Machupicchu around 10 .00 am. we recomend you to book in advance to let us know Machupicchu Mountain also is another alternative climbing mountain, we recomend it, if huayna picchu mountain is overbook.
